Darlington - Byrl F. Maxwell, 58, was found dead at his Darlington home Saturday morning. Mr. Maxwell was a retired drainage farmer. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church and American Legion at Darlington and served in the Army in WWII. Mr. Maxwell was born June 14, 1914 near Garfield, a son of ALex and Minnie Steffler Maxwell. Survivors include five brothers, Ales, Jack and Ralph of Darlington, Walter of Crawfordsville and Lawrence of Anderson and two sisters, Mrs. Amy Huidey (sic - Hulvey) of Darlington and Mrs. Carrie Horine (sic - Horney) of Anderson. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home in Darlington. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. - kbz
